Covid 19

GOOD NEWS we will now be open from 4th July 2020

However, things will be different to how we operated before, until Science decides the virus has abated.

We will take all of our visitors safety as an important part of our daily routine, and to mitigate this will be changing some of our practices.

All our rooms have already been deep cleaned, and when we will reopen, will be cleaned thoroughly after each guest has left.

We will be making available less rooms, so that guests can move around more freely.

We will space out our tables in our dining room for breakfast, and will change the way breakfast is served.

We will continually be cleaning the touched hot points, door handles, light switches etc.
Our bar will be temporarily closed.

For staying guests we will not be servicing rooms during your stay, to stop cross contamination, but will provide extra items in your rooms, and can provide any additional items on request.

Sorry for these changes, but in the current climate I am sure you all understand.

Look forward to seeing you soon

Varley House Guest House

Situated opposite Hillsborough Nature Reserve, which overlooks the Harbour at Ilfracombe

Varley House was built at the turn of the 20th century to revitalise and refresh returning officers from the Boer War. The warmth of its generously proportioned rooms is typical of that gracious age.

This charm still affects all who visit; ensuring guests are at ease from the very start, whether looking for a really active few days or simply enjoying a restful break. We have our own car park and sunny garden and are situated opposite Hillsborough Nature Reserve, which overlooks the Harbour; a short stroll away.
